Machine Learning Engineer - NLP Focus

About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented Machine Learning Engineer with a focus on Natural Language Processing (NLP) to join their innovative technology division in Klerksdorp . Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to integrate NLP solutions into user-facing features.
• Evaluate model performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement optimizations.

Requirements

• Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computational Linguistics, or a related field with an NLP focus.
• 3+ years of experience building and deploying NLP models in a production environment.
• Strong programming skills in Python and experience with NLP libraries (e.g., spaCy, NLTK, Hugging Face Transformers).
• Deep understanding of modern NLP techniques, including language models and embeddings.
• Experience with cloud platforms and MLOps principles is highly desirable.
