Operations Manager - FMCG

About the Role

Our client, a leading entity in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector, is actively recruiting for a highly capable Operations Manager to oversee and enhance their operational efficiency in Pretoria . This role is fundamental to ensuring the smooth and cost-effective execution of all manufacturing, production, and distribution processes. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations, including production planning, manufacturing processes, and quality control.
• Implement and maintain efficient operational procedures and workflows to maximize productivity and minimize waste.
• Manage a team of operational staff, fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations relevant to manufacturing operations.
• Collaborate with supply chain, logistics, and sales departments to ensure seamless product flow and timely delivery.
• Monitor operational performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in operations management, with a strong focus on the FMCG industry .
• Proven ability to manage complex manufacturing and production environments.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• In-depth knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
