Procurement Specialist - Services

About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled Procurement Specialist focused on acquiring services for their operations in Nelspruit . This role involves managing the sourcing and procurement of a variety of services, including professional, technical, and operational services. You will be responsible for understanding service requirements, identifying qualified vendors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services that meet business needs and budget constraints. This position requires strong vendor management skills and a deep understanding of service-based procurement.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of service procurement, from defining requirements to contract finalization and performance monitoring.
• Identify, vet, and onboard new service providers, ensuring they meet quality, compliance, and ethical standards.
• Lead negotiations for service contracts, focusing on value, performance metrics, and cost-effectiveness.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key service providers, addressing performance issues and fostering collaboration.
• Ensure all service procurement activities comply with company policies, legal requirements, and ethical guidelines.
• Track service delivery performance against contracts and implement corrective actions as needed within Mpumalanga .

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in procurement, with a specialization in services procurement.
• Proven experience in contract negotiation and management for various service categories.
• Strong understanding of service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
