Senior Project Manager - Energy Infrastructure

About the Role

Our client, a leader in the Energy sector , is seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager to oversee critical infrastructure projects in Klerksdorp . This high-impact role involves managing the full lifecycle of complex energy projects, from initiation and planning through execution, monitoring, and closure. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, coordinating with diverse stakeholders including engineers, contractors, and regulatory bodies. Key Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
• Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams to achieve project objectives.
• Manage project risks, issues, and changes effectively, ensuring mitigation strategies are implemented.
• Oversee contractor performance and ensure adherence to contract terms and specifications.
• Maintain regular communication with stakeholders, providing progress reports and managing expectations.

• Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and approve invoices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years focused on energy infrastructure projects .
• Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale projects on time and within budget.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PMI, Agile).
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Experience with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
