Trade Desk Specialist

Our logistics client is recruiting a Trade Desk Specialist to turn client enquiries into an accurate quotations. It's a role that combines commercial thinking with operational precision, and suits someone who's comfortable owning a process end to end. The position will be based in Kempton Park.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and issue accurate quotes for clients based on rate structures and cost inputs.
• Handle CBD quoting, invoicing and payment collection before delivery is planned.
• Compile and check the daily quoting report.
• Track quote versus collection acceptance rates and report on trends.
• Provide general sales admin support to the team.
• Build and maintain a strong understanding of rate structures, rate loading, and how rates are applied and loaded within the system.
• Understand cost within transport operations, and how cost relates to margin, to support sound quoting decisions.

What We're Looking For

• Experience in a trade desk and quoting.
• Experience with a particle/parcel management system is an advantage.
• Transport or logistics industry experience is an advantage, but not required.
• A trader's mindset — comfortable thinking in terms of cost versus margin, not just following a rate sheet.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Comfortable working with AI tools to support day-to-day work.
• Accurate, organised, and able to manage a high volume of quotes and follow-ups without losing track of detail.
