About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Industrial Engineer to spearhead process optimization and efficiency improvements for their operations in Rustenburg . This senior position involves leading a team of engineers and technicians, defining strategic objectives for operational excellence, and overseeing the implementation of complex projects. You will play a critical role in driving innovation, ensuring adherence to the highest industry standards, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across all departments. This is a leadership opportunity for a visionary engineer to make a significant impact on a large-scale industrial enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of industrial engineers and technicians, assigning tasks and overseeing project execution.
  • Develop and implement long-term strategies for operational efficiency, cost reduction, and quality enhancement.
  • Oversee the design and optimization of production systems, workflows, and facility layouts.
  • Champion the adoption of advanced manufacturing technologies and methodologies across the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and environmental standards in process design and implementation.
  • Present project updates, findings, and strategic recommendations to senior management.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in industrial engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Demonstrated expertise in lean manufacturing , Six Sigma (Black Belt preferred), and project management.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage complex projects, and drive significant operational improvements.
  • Excellent understanding of supply chain dynamics, production planning, and quality management systems.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and strategic thinking capabilities.
