About the Role

Our client is looking for a diligent and technically adept Telecommunications Equipment Installer to join their team in Klerksdorp . This role is essential for the setup and maintenance of telecommunications infrastructure, including networking hardware, cabling, and associated systems. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliable operation of communication networks for businesses throughout the North West province . The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of telecommunications technology, excellent diagnostic skills, and a commitment to delivering seamless connectivity solutions. This is a hands-on role for an individual who enjoys problem-solving and working with cutting-edge communication technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and test various telecommunications equipment, including routers, switches, servers, and antennas.
• Perform cabling and wiring for voice and data networks according to industry standards.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and network connectivity issues in a timely manner.
• Conduct routine maintenance and upgrades on existing telecommunications systems.
• Ensure all installations and repairs comply with company and industry standards for quality and safety.
• Maintain accurate inventory of equipment and complete service reports promptly.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Telecommunications Installer or similar technical role.
• Strong understanding of networking principles, protocols, and telecommunications hardware.
• Proficiency in installing and terminating various types of network cables (e.g., Cat5e, Cat6, fiber optic).
• Experience with diagnostic tools and network testing equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and blueprints.
• Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to different sites.
