About the Role

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex civil engineering projects, including roadworks, water systems, and urban development.
- Conduct site analyses, feasibility studies, and environmental impact assessments to inform project planning and execution.
- Prepare detailed engineering reports, technical specifications, and construction drawings using industry-standard software.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule and within financial constraints.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including government agencies, contractors, and clients, to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and technical staff, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and professional growth within the remote team structure.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in civil engineering design and project management.
- Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration or eligibility for registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA).
- Proficiency in civil engineering design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, Civil Designer, or similar.
- Demonstrated experience in managing remote teams and utilizing collaboration tools for project delivery.
- Strong understanding of South African building codes, regulations, and environmental standards.
