About the Role

Our client is seeking a creative and analytical Trade Marketing Specialist to join their dynamic team in Pretoria , contributing to the success of their diverse FMCG product portfolio. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between brand strategy and in-store execution, ensuring that our client's products stand out on the shelves and drive consumer purchase decisions at the point of sale. You will be responsible for developing and implementing effective trade marketing plans that align with brand objectives and meet the needs of retail partners. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of retail dynamics and a passion for creating impactful in-store experiences that boost sales and brand visibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute in-store promotional strategies, point-of-sale materials, and merchandising plans to enhance brand presence and drive sales.
• Collaborate with the sales team to understand retailer needs and develop tailored trade marketing solutions.
• Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for trade promotions and category growth.
• Manage the budget for trade marketing activities, ensuring optimal return on investment.
• Coordinate with external agencies for the production of promotional materials and in-store displays.
• Track and evaluate the effectiveness of trade marketing initiatives, providing insights and recommendations for future campaigns.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in trade marketing , preferably within the FMCG sector .
• Strong understanding of retail environments, merchandising principles, and promotional planning.
• Excellent analytical and project management skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments in Pretoria .
