Adventure Tourism Coordinator

About the Role

Our client, a leading adventure tourism provider in the spectacular Northern Cape region, is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Adventure Tourism Coordinator . This role is responsible for the planning, organization, and delivery of thrilling adventure experiences, including guided tours, outdoor activities, and expeditions. You will ensure the safety and satisfaction of clients while managing logistics, guides, and equipment. The ideal candidate has a passion for the outdoors, extensive knowledge of adventure activities, excellent logistical skills, and a commitment to providing unforgettable experiences for tourists seeking adventure in Upington and its surrounding natural beauty.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and manage a diverse range of adventure tourism activities (e.g., hiking, kayaking, wildlife viewing).
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all clients by adhering to strict safety protocols and risk management procedures.
• Manage and maintain adventure equipment, ensuring it is in excellent condition and readily available.
• Recruit, train, and supervise a team of qualified adventure guides.
• Develop and maintain relationships with local suppliers, accommodation providers, and relevant authorities.
• Handle client bookings, inquiries, and provide exceptional customer service throughout their experience.
• Contribute to the development of new adventure tour packages and itineraries.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in the adventure tourism or outdoor recreation industry.
• Strong knowledge of adventure activities, safety procedures, and risk management.
• Excellent organizational, logistical, and planning skills.
• Certification in wilderness first aid or equivalent is essential.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• A passion for nature, conservation, and adventure tourism.
