Logistics Coordinator - FMCG

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and efficient Logistics Coordinator to manage the supply chain operations for their FMCG business in Rustenburg . This on-site role is crucial for ensuring the timely and cost-effective movement of goods, from raw materials to finished products. You will play a key part in optimizing inventory levels, coordinating transportation, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, possesses strong problem-solving skills, and has a keen eye for detail within the fast-paced FMCG environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage all aspects of the FMCG supply chain , including warehousing, inventory management, and transportation.
• Plan and schedule inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring on-time delivery and cost efficiency.
• Liaise with suppliers, logistics providers, and internal departments to resolve logistical challenges.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and implement stock control measures to minimize waste and optimize stock levels.
• Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations, customs requirements, and safety standards.
• Utilize logistics software to track shipments, manage documentation, and generate reports.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Logistics Coordinator or in a similar supply chain role.
• Strong knowledge of logistics operations, transportation modes, and inventory management principles, ideally within FMCG .
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in logistics software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills to effectively work with vendors and internal teams.
• Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
