About the Role

Our client is seeking a vigilant and analytical Automotive Cybersecurity Analyst to join their dedicated, fully remote security team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for safeguarding the connected vehicle ecosystem against evolving cyber threats. You will conduct in-depth security assessments, monitor for potential vulnerabilities, and develop proactive defense strategies for in-vehicle systems and associated cloud platforms. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive security assessments and penetration testing on automotive ECUs, infotainment systems, and vehicle networks.
• Monitor security alerts and logs from various sources, investigating potential security incidents and breaches in real-time.
• Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and best practices for the design, development, and deployment of connected vehicle features.
• Analyze emerging threats and vulnerabilities specific to the automotive industry and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with software developers and hardware engineers to integrate security controls throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Respond to security incidents, conduct forensic analysis, and assist in the recovery process to minimize impact.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity analysis, penetration testing, or security operations, with a focus on embedded systems or IoT.
• Strong understanding of network security principles, encryption, authentication, and threat modeling.
• Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (CAN, Automotive Ethernet) and their security implications.
• Experience with security analysis tools, SIEM platforms, and vulnerability assessment frameworks.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively in a remote setting.
