Field Coordinator - Rural Development

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and organized Field Coordinator - Rural Development to support initiatives in and around Upington . This role is integral to the successful implementation of rural development projects, ensuring that activities are carried out effectively on the ground. You will work closely with community members, local leaders, and project teams to facilitate project activities, monitor progress, and provide essential support in the Northern Cape . This position requires a proactive individual with strong local knowledge and a commitment to sustainable rural development in South Africa .

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate the day-to-day implementation of rural development projects in the field.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration between project teams and community stakeholders.
• Monitor project activities, track progress against milestones, and collect necessary data for reporting.
• Assist in organizing community meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
• Identify and address logistical challenges and operational issues encountered in the field.
• Provide support to project beneficiaries and ensure their active participation in project activities.

Requirements

• Previous experience in project coordination, field operations, or rural development work.
• Strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities within rural communities in the Upington region.
• Excellent organizational and logistical planning skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work respectfully with diverse groups.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a field-based environment.
• Proficiency in basic reporting and data collection.
