Forensic Accountant

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and analytical Forensic Accountant to join their team, working entirely remotely. This specialized role involves investigating financial irregularities, fraud, and complex financial disputes. You will utilize your expertise in accounting, auditing, and investigative techniques to uncover hidden information, provide expert opinions, and assist in litigation support. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth financial investigations into suspected fraud, asset misappropriation, and financial misconduct.


• Analyze complex financial data, trace funds , and identify patterns indicative of financial crime.


• Prepare detailed forensic accounting reports, summarizing findings and providing expert opinions.


• Assist legal counsel in litigation support, including preparing expert witness testimony and evidence.


• Develop and implement anti-fraud programs and internal control recommendations.


• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and other stakeholders as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; relevant professional certifications such as CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner) are highly desirable.


• Minimum of 5 years of experience in forensic accounting , fraud investigation, or auditing.


• Proven experience in data analysis, litigation support , and expert testimony.


• Strong knowledge of investigative techniques, interviewing skills, and relevant legal frameworks.


• Exceptional analytical skills , critical thinking, and attention to detail.


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills , adept at conveying complex findings clearly in a remote setting.
