Operations Project Manager

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Operations Project Manager to join their established team in Stellenbosch, Western Cape . This role is responsible for managing and optimizing various operational projects aimed at improving efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing service delivery across the organization. You will work closely with department heads, operational staff, and external partners to define project objectives, execute plans, and ensure the successful implementation of operational improvements. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of operational processes, and a proven ability to lead projects to successful completion in a demanding environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and execution of operational improvement projects from initiation to closure.
• Analyze current operational workflows and identify areas for enhancement and cost reduction.
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.
• Coordinate with various departments to ensure seamless integration of new processes and systems.
• Monitor project performance, track key metrics, and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
• Manage risks and issues, developing and implementing effective mitigation strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management or project management with a strong operational focus.
• Proven track record of successfully managing operational efficiency and process improvement projects.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies is highly valued.
