Sports Physiotherapist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and skilled Sports Physiotherapist to support athletes and sports teams in Nelspruit . This role is crucial for the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of injuries, helping athletes maintain peak physical condition and return to play safely and efficiently. You will work collaboratively with coaches, trainers, and medical professionals within the leisure and sports environment to provide comprehensive care. This position requires expert clinical knowledge, excellent hands-on skills, and a deep understanding of sports-specific biomechanics and rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat sports-related injuries using evidence-based physiotherapy techniques.
• Develop and implement individualized rehabilitation programs for athletes to facilitate recovery and performance enhancement.
• Provide preventative care strategies and education to athletes and coaches on injury risk reduction.
• Work with coaches to integrate appropriate warm-up and cool-down protocols.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic patient care.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Physiotherapy.
• Registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Sports Physiotherapist , preferably with competitive teams.
• Advanced training or certification in sports physiotherapy is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of biomechanics, anatomy, and exercise physiology related to sports.
• Excellent clinical assessment, manual therapy, and therapeutic exercise skills.
