Senior Project Manager - Civil Engineering

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee significant civil engineering projects in Nelspruit. This role demands strong leadership and technical expertise in managing complex infrastructure developments from inception to completion. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest engineering standards, coordinating with design teams, contractors, and regulatory bodies. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of major civil engineering projects, including roads, bridges, and infrastructure development.
• Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations, environmental standards, and quality control procedures on all project sites.
• Oversee and coordinate the work of engineers, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
• Proactively identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, implementing effective mitigation strategies.
• Manage client and stakeholder relationships, ensuring clear communication and satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration is highly desirable.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in Civil Engineering Project Management, with a proven track record of delivering large-scale infrastructure projects.
• In-depth knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and relevant legislation.
• Proficiency in project management software and engineering design tools.
• Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
