Senior Electrical Engineer - Renewable Energy

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Electrical Engineer specializing in renewable energy technologies to join their dynamic, fully remote team. You will play a critical role in the design, development, and implementation of innovative energy solutions, focusing on sustainability and efficiency. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and engineering of electrical systems for solar, wind, and other renewable energy projects , ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Perform detailed electrical load calculations, power system analysis, and equipment sizing for distributed generation systems.
• Develop technical specifications , schematics, single-line diagrams, and control system logic for energy projects.
• Collaborate with project managers, clients, and external stakeholders to define project requirements and ensure successful implementation.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design teams, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Oversee the testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical installations, ensuring optimal performance and safety.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in electrical engineering, with a strong focus on renewable energy systems.
• Proficiency in electrical design software such as AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP, or similar tools.
• In-depth knowledge of grid-tied and off-grid energy systems , battery storage solutions, and power electronics.
• Experience with project management methodologies and ability to manage multiple complex projects concurrently.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work autonomously in a remote setting.
