Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for information security, aligned with business goals and risk appetite.
• Lead and mentor a team of security analysts and engineers, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Oversee incident response, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning to minimize impact from security events.
• Establish and maintain robust security policies, standards, and guidelines across all organizational levels.
• Manage security budget, vendor relationships, and the evaluation/implementation of new security technologies.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legal, regulatory, and industry standards (e.g., POPIA, ISO 27001).

Requirements

• Master's degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field; CISSP, CISM, or equivalent certifications are mandatory.
• 10+ years of experience in information security, with at least 5 years in a management or leadership role.
• Proven experience in developing and managing enterprise-level security programs and frameworks.
• Deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, risk management, incident response, and threat intelligence.
• Experience managing remote teams and implementing effective virtual collaboration strategies.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
