About the Role

Our client seeks a skilled Installation & Commissioning Specialist to join their operations team based in Polokwane, Limpopo . This hybrid role involves overseeing and executing the installation and initial setup of complex systems and equipment, ensuring they operate to specifications. You will work both on-site at various locations and remotely, providing technical expertise and guidance throughout the commissioning process. The ideal candidate possesses a strong technical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage projects efficiently, ensuring client satisfaction and operational readiness from the outset. This position is vital for maintaining our client's reputation for quality delivery in the installation and maintenance field.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute the installation and commissioning of new equipment and systems according to project plans and technical specifications.
• Conduct system tests and performance checks to ensure all components function correctly post-installation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the installation and commissioning phases.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support and guidance to clients and field teams.
• Maintain detailed documentation of all installation and commissioning activities, including test results and sign-offs.
• Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to ensure smooth project delivery.

Requirements

• Proven experience in installation, commissioning, or a similar technical role within the installation and maintenance industry.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and control systems relevant to equipment setup.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and installation manuals.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail for ensuring successful system deployment.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and relevant software for testing and calibration.
