Chemical Engineer - Process Optimization

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated Chemical Engineer to focus on process optimization within the Oil & Gas sector . This is a fully remote position, enabling you to contribute expertise without geographical constraints. You will analyze existing production processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement innovative solutions to enhance efficiency, yield, and safety. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of chemical engineering principles, and experience with process simulation and modeling tools. This remote role offers a significant opportunity to impact operational performance and drive continuous improvement across multiple facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze process data to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for optimization.
• Develop and implement process improvements to increase production yield and reduce operational costs.
• Utilize process simulation software to model and test proposed changes before implementation.
• Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to ensure successful implementation of process changes.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of optimized processes, making adjustments as needed.
• Ensure all process changes comply with safety and environmental regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in process engineering, preferably within the Oil & Gas industry.
• Strong proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
• Experience with statistical analysis and process control techniques.
• Ability to work effectively and independently in a fully remote environment.
