About the Role

Our client is looking for a creative and tech-savvy Social Media and Content Creator to join their energetic marketing team in Durban. This role is responsible for developing and executing engaging content strategies across various social media platforms to build brand awareness and foster community engagement. You will be at the forefront of creating compelling visual and written content, managing social media calendars, and analyzing performance metrics to optimize outreach. This hybrid position allows for flexible collaboration, combining in-office synergy with remote work, ideal for fostering creativity within the vibrant KwaZulu-Natal landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, curate, and schedule engaging content for all social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok).
• Create high-quality visual content, including graphics, short videos, and photos, using relevant design tools.
• Write compelling copy for social media posts, captions, and advertisements that aligns with brand voice and objectives.
• Monitor social media channels for trends, conversations, and opportunities for engagement.
• Analyze social media performance data and generate reports with insights and recommendations for improvement.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure content aligns with broader marketing campaigns and brand messaging.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Social Media Specialist, Content Creator, or similar role.
• Strong portfolio showcasing creative content creation and social media campaign management.
• Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) and video editing software.
• Excellent copywriting and communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Solid understanding of social media KPIs and analytics platforms.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid setting in Durban.
