About the Role
Our client is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Childcare Provider / Assistant Teacher to join their nurturing team in Paarl, Western Cape . This position plays a vital role in supporting lead teachers in creating a stimulating and safe learning environment for young children. You will assist with daily activities, supervise children during play and rest periods, and help foster their social and emotional development. Key Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans and classroom activities.
- Provide direct supervision and care for children, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Support children's social and emotional development by encouraging positive interactions.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Prepare snacks and assist with meal times for the children.
- Communicate with lead teachers and parents about children's daily progress and needs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; childcare-related qualification is a plus.
- Prior experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting is preferred.
- Understanding of basic child development principles.
- Ability to follow instructions and work cooperatively with a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
