About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Apprentice Welder with a focus on structural applications to join their team in East London . This apprenticeship provides a solid foundation in structural welding techniques, safety, and the use of specialized equipment. You will work alongside experienced professionals on various construction and fabrication projects, learning the critical role welding plays in building robust structures. Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of metal components for welding, including cutting and cleaning.
• Learn and apply structural welding techniques such as SMAW (Stick), GMAW (MIG), and FCAW.
• Perform basic welding tasks on structural steel components under supervision.
• Ensure welds meet specified standards for strength, integrity, and appearance.
• Follow blueprints and welding specifications precisely.
• Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to all safety regulations.

Requirements

• A strong interest in welding and metal fabrication, particularly structural applications.
• Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to read and interpret basic technical drawings and welding symbols.
• Physical fitness and ability to work in various site conditions.
• Commitment to safety and teamwork.
• Must be based in or able to work in East London .
