Business Developer / Sales

Our client is a growing, independently owned office furniture and commercial interiors business based in Somerset West, servicing the Western Cape. They are looking for an experienced Sales Consultant / Business Developer who can take ownership of business development, bring energy and commercial thinking to the role, and play a meaningful part in the next stage of the company's growth. This is The successful candidate will be expected to identify opportunities, develop new business, build relationships with decision-makers and turn those relationships into revenue.

Requirements

• Proven B2B Sales Experience
• A track record of generating new business rather than relying solely on inbound leads
• Experience in office furniture, commercial interiors, workplace solutions, or a related industry would be highly advantageous
• Strong prospecting and business-development ability
• Excellent relationship-building and communication skills
• Commercial awareness and the confidence to engage with decision-makers
• Strong negotiation and closing ability
• A self-motivated, proactive approach
• The ability to work independently and take ownership of your results
• A valid driver's licence and willingness to travel within the Helderberg/Cape Town and surrounding areas.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Identify and develop new B2B business opportunities.
• Prospect for new clients and actively generate leads.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with business owners, decision-makers, facilities teams, procurement teams, designers and other relevant stakeholders.
• Manage the full sales process from prospecting through to closing.
• Understand client requirements and develop appropriate office furniture/interior solutions.
• Prepare quotations and proposals and follow up proactively.
• Develop existing client relationships and identify opportunities for repeat and additional business.
• Work towards agreed sales and business-development objectives.
• Represent the company professionally in the market.
• Contribute ideas and initiatives that can help grow the business.
