Senior Telecoms Project Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Telecoms Project Manager to lead complex telecommunications projects from initiation to completion in the Mpumalanga region, based in Nelspruit . This role requires exceptional leadership, organizational skills, and a deep understanding of telecom infrastructure deployment. You will be responsible for managing project scope, timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project delivery, while fostering strong relationships with stakeholders. This is a key position within our client's operations, driving critical infrastructure developments.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and close telecommunications projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
• Define project objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
• Manage project resources, including team members, contractors, and vendors.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Oversee budget management, including forecasting, tracking, and reporting on project expenditures.
• Communicate project status effectively to all stakeholders through regular reports and meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of proven experience managing telecommunications projects.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP).
• Experience with telecom infrastructure, network deployment, or related technologies.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana).
