Supply Chain Director

About the Role

Our client is seeking a strategic and experienced Supply Chain Director to oversee all aspects of their supply chain operations in Durban . This senior leadership position is critical for ensuring the efficient and cost-effective flow of goods from sourcing to final delivery within the FMCG sector . You will be responsible for optimizing logistics, inventory management, procurement, and warehouse operations to support the company's growth and customer satisfaction goals. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute end-to-end supply chain strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
• Oversee all logistics, transportation, warehousing, and inventory management activities.
• Lead procurement efforts, negotiating favorable terms with suppliers and ensuring a reliable supply of raw materials and finished goods.
• Implement and manage advanced supply chain technologies and systems to improve visibility and control.
• Foster strong relationships with key logistics partners and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry best practices in supply chain operations.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a director-level role, preferably within FMCG.
• Demonstrated success in optimizing supply chain processes, reducing costs, and improving delivery performance.
• Expertise in inventory management, demand planning, and logistics optimization.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in supply chain planning software and ERP systems.
