About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly analytical and experienced Senior Energy Policy Analyst to join their team in East London . You will conduct in-depth research, analyze complex energy market trends, and provide expert recommendations to stakeholders on policy development and implementation. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive research and analysis of current and emerging energy policies, regulations, and market trends.
• Develop data-driven recommendations for energy policy formulation, review, and refinement to support sustainability and economic objectives.
• Prepare detailed reports, policy briefs, and presentations for government agencies, industry stakeholders, and the public.
• Evaluate the economic, environmental, and social impacts of proposed energy policies and projects.
• Monitor and interpret legislative changes and their potential implications for the energy sector .
• Facilitate stakeholder consultations and workshops to gather input and build consensus on energy policy initiatives.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Economics, Public Policy, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in energy policy analysis, economic research, or regulatory affairs within the energy industry .
• Strong understanding of energy markets, regulatory frameworks, and renewable energy technologies.
• Excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools and methodologies.
• Proven ability to communicate complex policy issues clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
• Experience in stakeholder engagement and policy advocacy is highly desirable.
