Catering Team Lead

About the Role

Our client is looking for a motivated and experienced Catering Team Lead to join their dynamic team in Port Elizabeth . This hybrid role requires a leader who can effectively manage on-site catering operations and contribute to strategic planning remotely. You will be responsible for supervising catering staff, ensuring seamless event execution, and maintaining the highest standards of service and presentation. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of catering staff during event setup, service, and breakdown.
• Ensure all catering services are delivered according to client specifications and company standards.
• Train new team members on service protocols, food safety, and presentation techniques.
• Assist with inventory management, stock rotation, and maintaining cleanliness of service areas.
• Provide on-site leadership during events, resolving any issues that may arise to ensure client satisfaction.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within the catering or hospitality industry.
• Strong understanding of food and beverage service, hygiene standards, and event logistics.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules in Port Elizabeth .
• A proactive approach to managing tasks and motivating a team effectively.
