About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their established installation and maintenance department in East London . This role is essential for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of electrical systems and equipment across their facilities in the Eastern Cape . You will be responsible for diagnosing complex electrical problems, implementing preventative maintenance strategies, and overseeing electrical maintenance projects. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of electrical engineering principles, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive preventative and predictive maintenance plans for electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
• Oversee electrical maintenance projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
• Ensure all electrical installations and maintenance activities comply with relevant safety standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and spare parts inventory.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including power distribution, motors, PLCs, and control systems.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Must be available for on-site work in East London and possess a valid driver's license.
