Senior Plant Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Plant Engineer to oversee and enhance their operational facilities in Richards Bay . This critical role involves managing plant operations, ensuring the efficiency and reliability of all equipment, and leading continuous improvement initiatives. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of safety, productivity, and quality. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in plant management and a strong background in industrial engineering principles. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily plant operations, ensuring all production targets are met safely and efficiently.
• Develop and execute strategic plans for plant upgrades and equipment modernization.
• Implement and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Lead root cause analysis for production issues and implement sustainable solutions.
• Manage budgets for plant operations and capital expenditure projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in plant engineering or operations management.
• Proven experience with project management , capital budgeting, and maintenance planning.
• Strong understanding of industrial processes, machinery, and control systems.
• Expertise in safety regulations and environmental compliance.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
