Our client is seeking an enthusiastic Solar Panel Installation Technician to join their renewable energy team in Polokwane . This role is pivotal in installing and maintaining solar photovoltaic systems for residential and commercial clients, contributing to a sustainable future. You will be responsible for site assessment, mounting solar panels, connecting electrical components, and ensuring the system operates safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate has a strong technical aptitude, is comfortable working at heights, and is dedicated to quality workmanship in the rapidly growing solar installation and maintenance sector within Limpopo.

Key Responsibilities

• Install solar panel systems on rooftops and ground-mounted structures according to design specifications.
• Mount racking systems and secure solar panels safely and efficiently.
• Connect electrical components, including inverters, wiring, and safety devices.
• Perform system testing and commissioning to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Conduct site assessments and provide feedback on installation feasibility.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations.

Requirements

• Experience in solar panel installation or related field (e.g., electrical, construction).
• Understanding of electrical systems and safety procedures.
• Ability to work effectively at heights and in various weather conditions.

• Good physical stamina and manual dexterity.
• Must be able to travel within the Polokwane region and possess a valid driver's license.
