Operations Team Lead

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Operations Team Lead to guide their team in Stellenbosch . This hands-on leadership role focuses on ensuring the smooth and efficient day-to-day execution of operational tasks. You will be responsible for supervising a team, managing workloads, ensuring quality standards are met, and contributing to process improvements. This position requires a leader who can motivate their team, troubleshoot operational challenges, and maintain a high level of productivity within a dynamic operational environment located in the heart of the Western Cape wine region.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and guide a team of operational staff, ensuring efficient task completion and adherence to procedures.
• Monitor daily operations, identifying and resolving bottlenecks or issues promptly.
• Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure high standards of service and output.
• Train new team members and provide ongoing coaching and development for existing staff.
• Manage team schedules and workload distribution to optimize productivity.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of operational processes and workflows.

Requirements

• Proven experience in an operations or team leadership role.
• Strong understanding of operational processes and best practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
• Problem-solving skills and the capacity to handle operational challenges efficiently.
