About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned and strategic Senior Sanitation Manager to lead their sanitation division in Sandton . This leadership role is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive sanitation strategies that uphold the highest standards of hygiene, safety, and regulatory compliance across all company operations. You will manage a team of sanitation professionals, oversee budget allocation, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to maintain a pristine and safe working environment. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills, a deep understanding of sanitation management, and a proven track record in optimizing sanitation programs within complex organizations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage the overall sanitation program for the organization, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the sanitation team, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
• Oversee the budget for the sanitation department, managing costs effectively and seeking efficiencies.
• Ensure compliance with all local, national, and international health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for sanitation operations and monitor performance against targets.
• Collaborate with other departments, including operations, quality assurance, and facilities, to integrate sanitation goals into broader company strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health, Public Health, Food Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in sanitation management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Expert knowledge of sanitation principles, cleaning technologies, HACCP, and regulatory compliance.
• Demonstrated success in developing and implementing large-scale sanitation programs.
• Exceptional leadership, strategic planning, and decision‑making skills.
