Remote Aviation Safety Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Remote Aviation Safety Manager to lead safety initiatives from anywhere in the world. This vital role is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive safety management systems (SMS) across their global aviation operations. You will work closely with various departments to foster a robust safety culture, analyze risk, and ensure compliance with all international aviation safety regulations. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the organization's Safety Management System (SMS) in accordance with international standards (e.g., ICAO Annex 19).
• Conduct regular safety risk assessments, hazard identification, and implement effective mitigation strategies.
• Oversee incident and accident investigations, determining root causes and recommending corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs to all levels of personnel across global operations.
• Monitor aviation safety performance through key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare detailed safety reports for senior management.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant aviation safety regulations and standards for the company's diverse fleet and operational areas.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Aviation Management, Safety Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in aviation safety management, with a significant portion in a leadership capacity.
• Proven expertise in developing and implementing comprehensive Safety Management Systems (SMS).
• Strong understanding of international aviation regulations (e.g., ICAO, EASA, FAA) and risk management principles.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to manage projects remotely and effectively.
• Experience with safety reporting software and data analysis tools is essential.
