Learning Support Assistant

About the Role

Our client is looking for a motivated and caring Learning Support Assistant to join their educational team in Mahikeng. You will work under the guidance of teachers to provide crucial support to students, particularly those requiring additional assistance to succeed academically and socially. This role involves assisting with classroom activities, providing one-on-one support, and helping to create an inclusive learning environment. Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to students in the classroom, assisting with lessons and activities as directed by the teacher.
• Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning concepts and provide extra help.
• Assist students with special educational needs, implementing strategies outlined in their support plans.
• Help maintain a positive and orderly classroom environment.
• Support teachers in preparing learning materials and resources.
• Observe student progress and report any concerns to the supervising teacher.

Requirements

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
