About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and technically adept Telecoms Billing Systems Specialist to manage and optimize their billing operations in East London . This role is critical for ensuring accurate and timely invoicing for all telecommunication services rendered, as well as managing the underlying billing systems. You will work closely with finance, technical, and customer service teams to resolve billing discrepancies and enhance the overall billing process. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of billing cycles, rating, and revenue assurance within the dynamic telecoms sector in the Eastern Cape .

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain the company's telecom billing system , ensuring its smooth operation.
• Configure and manage billing plans, product catalogs, and rating rules.
• Process and generate customer invoices accurately and on schedule.
• Investigate and resolve billing errors, disputes, and revenue leakage issues.
• Collaborate with IT and network teams to integrate new services into the billing system.
• Generate reports on billing activities, revenue, and system performance for management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, IT, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience as a Billing Specialist or similar role, specifically within the telecommunications industry.
• Strong knowledge of billing cycles, rating, invoicing, and revenue assurance principles.
• Experience with billing support systems (e.g., Amdocs, Oracle Communications, SAP for Utilities).
• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, Excel).
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills, essential for operations in East London .
