Logistics Shift Leader

SUMMARY:
We are seeking a Logistics Shift Leader to coordinate warehouse and logistics activities. The role ensures products are delivered to the right place, at the right time, in the right quality and cost-effectively. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities:

Shift Management

• Conduct shift start-up activities and complete required checklists.
• Conduct Green Area meetings and communicate key information to employees.
• Manage attendance and ensure adequate staffing.

Load Preparation & Dispatch

• Ensure customer orders are picked and packed within required standards and timeframes.
• Ensure packing complies with customer specifications.
• Verify correct parts, bins and labels/Kanbans.

Logistics Processes

• Ensure adherence to logistics processes and procedures.
• Apply the Company''s escalation process, including the Stop–Call–Wait principle.
• Complete accurate end-of-shift reports.
• Identify and escalate operational issues timeously.

People & Customer Service

• Lead, motivate and develop logistics team members.
• Ensure employees are adequately trained and competent to perform their duties.
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Relevant qualification in Supply Chain, Inventory Control, Logistics or Production.
• Industrial Engineering qualification will be advantageous.

Experience Required:

• 2–5 years'' experience in warehousing and logistics.
• Experience within the automotive manufacturing industry will be advantageous.
• Experience managing employees working on a rotational shift system.
• Experience managing dunnage, vehicles and loading equipment.
• Previous experience in a supervisory or team-leadership role will be advantageous.
