HANDYMAN / PROPERTY MAINTENANCE OPERATIVE

Driving Licence: Full UK Driving Licence Essential

We are looking for a reliable, practical and hardworking Handyman / Property Maintenance Operative to join our team and carry out general maintenance and repair work across residential properties.

The successful candidate will be confident using hand and power tools, have good practical skills and be able to work independently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.

A full UK driving licence is essential, as the role will involve travelling between different properties and carrying tools and materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out general property maintenance and repairs.
• Complete basic plumbing, carpentry, painting and decorating tasks.
• Carry out patching, filling and making-good work.
• Assemble and install fixtures, fittings and furniture.
• Repair doors, handles, locks and other property fixtures.
• Carry out minor repairs to walls, floors and ceilings.
• Painting and decorating.
• Wallpaper removal and preparation work.
• Basic landscaping and external maintenance.
• General cleaning and property preparation.
• Moving materials, furniture and equipment when required.
• Identify maintenance issues and report any work requiring specialist contractors.
• Keep properties clean, safe and presentable.
• Complete jobs efficiently and to a good standard.
• Travel between properties as required.
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times.

Requirements

• Full UK driving licence - essential.
• Previous experience in property maintenance, handyman work, construction or a similar practical role.
• Good knowledge of hand and power tools.
• Practical, hands-on approach to work.
• Ability to carry out general repairs and maintenance.
• Reliable, punctual and professional.
• Able to work independently and manage a daily workload.
• Physically capable of lifting and moving materials and equipment.
• Health and safety awareness.
