Quality Control Analyst - Pharmaceuticals

About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Analyst to join their manufacturing facility in Richards Bay . In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all pharmaceutical products meet the highest standards of quality and safety before they reach consumers. You will perform a variety of tests and analyses on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished goods, meticulously documenting your findings. This position is crucial for maintaining regulatory compliance and upholding our client's commitment to producing safe and effective medications.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine analytical testing on raw materials, intermediate products, and finished pharmaceutical goods using established methods.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring calibration and functionality.
• Document all testing procedures, results, and observations accurately and thoroughly in compliance with GMP.
• Investigate deviations and out-of-specification (OOS) results, and participate in root cause analysis.
• Prepare Certificates of Analysis (CoA) for released products.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols and good laboratory practices (GLP) within the Richards Bay facility.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, or a related scientific discipline.
• 1-3 years of experience in a Quality Control or analytical laboratory setting, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Proficiency with common analytical techniques such as HPLC, GC, UV-Vis spectrophotometry, and wet chemistry.
• Strong understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data recording and analysis.
• Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team in a manufacturing environment.
