Aircraft Electrical Systems Technician

About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled Aircraft Electrical Systems Technician to join their maintenance team in Klerksdorp, with a hybrid work arrangement. This role involves the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of complex electrical and avionics systems on various aircraft. You will be critical in ensuring the reliability and functionality of all onboard electrical components, from power distribution to communication systems. The ideal candidate possesses a strong technical background in aviation electrical systems, a meticulous approach to their work, and the ability to adapt to both on-site and potentially remote diagnostic support.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical system faults and malfunctions on aircraft.
• Install, test, and modify aircraft electrical wiring, components, and systems according to technical specifications and schematics.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance, repair, and installation activities.
• Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to resolve complex technical issues.
• Stay current with advancements in aircraft electrical systems and relevant regulations.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Aircraft Electrical Technician or in a similar role within the aviation industry.
• Strong understanding of aircraft electrical principles, AC/DC power systems, and avionics integration.
• Ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics, technical manuals, and maintenance procedures.
• Proficiency with electrical testing equipment, diagnostic tools, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Relevant certifications or vocational training in aviation electronics or electrical systems.
• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and in a team.
