About the Role Our client operates a popular, high-volume restaurant in Pretoria and is looking for a dedicated and skilled Sous Chef to join their kitchen leadership team. As the Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, supervising culinary staff, and ensuring the consistent quality and presentation of all dishes served. Key Responsibilities Assist the Head Chef in managing all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating. Manage inventory, stock rotation, and food cost control effectively. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations in the kitchen. Contribute to menu development and specials, utilizing seasonal ingredients. Requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie in a high-volume restaurant setting. Strong culinary skills with a good understanding of various cooking techniques. Experience in inventory management and food cost analysis. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
