Senior QA Automation Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior QA Automation Engineer to enhance their quality assurance processes. This fully remote position allows you to contribute to building robust and reliable software from anywhere in South Africa. You will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing frameworks, ensuring the highest quality standards for our applications. This role demands a meticulous approach, strong technical expertise in automation tools, and a passion for driving quality throughout the software development lifecycle. You will collaborate with developers and product teams to identify and resolve defects efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient automated test scripts and frameworks.
• Implement end-to-end testing strategies covering functional, regression, and performance testing.
• Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline for continuous testing.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and collaborate with developers for timely resolution.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and methodologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in QA automation.
• Proficiency in programming languages commonly used for test automation (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript).
• Experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).
• Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
