About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and highly proficient Senior Automotive Mechanic to join their respected workshop in Paarl . As a Senior Mechanic, you will take a lead role in diagnosing and repairing a wide spectrum of vehicle makes and models, focusing on complex mechanical and electrical issues. You will mentor junior technicians, uphold the highest standards of quality workmanship, and ensure efficient service delivery. This position requires a deep understanding of automotive engineering, advanced diagnostic capabilities, and a commitment to customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities

• Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on engines, transmissions, suspension, and braking systems.
• Interpret technical manuals, diagnostic data, and repair histories to accurately identify vehicle issues.
• Conduct thorough inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure vehicle reliability and safety.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior mechanics and apprentices.
• Ensure all repairs are completed efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
• Advise customers and service advisors on necessary repairs and maintenance recommendations.

Requirements

• Significant experience as an Automotive Mechanic , with a proven track record as a Senior Mechanic.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical and electrical automotive systems.
• Strong understanding of engine performance, drivetrain, and chassis systems.
• Experience with various diagnostic tools and software.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Good communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
