About the Role
Our client is seeking an innovative and detail-oriented Aircraft Electrical Systems Engineer to join their team in Upington, Northern Cape . This role is central to the design, development, integration, and testing of electrical systems for aircraft. You will work on cutting-edge projects, ensuring that all electrical systems meet stringent performance, safety, and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and integrate electrical power distribution systems, wiring harnesses, and electronic components for aircraft.
- Perform electrical load analyses, system testing, and troubleshooting.
- Ensure electrical systems comply with aviation standards (e.g., ARINC, MIL-SPEC) and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical and avionics engineers, to ensure seamless system integration.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including schematics, specifications, and test procedures.
- Support manufacturing and maintenance teams in resolving electrical system issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in aircraft electrical systems design and development.
- Proficiency in electrical CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN) and simulation tools.
- Strong understanding of AC/DC power systems, control systems, and signal integrity.
- Knowledge of aerospace standards and best practices for electrical system design.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
