Production Operations Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished Production Operations Engineer to support their expanding operations in Centurion . This role is fundamental to maximizing hydrocarbon production rates and ensuring the efficient, safe, and environmentally sound operation of production facilities. You will be instrumental in troubleshooting operational issues, implementing best practices, and collaborating with field personnel and management. This is a key position within the Oil & Gas industry , offering the chance to apply your expertise to critical production challenges and contribute to sustained operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor production facility performance, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Optimize production through effective management of artificial lift systems and well interventions.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Analyze production data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and potential risks.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to develop and execute preventative and corrective maintenance programs.
• Provide technical support and guidance to field operations personnel.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 6 years of experience in production operations within the Oil & Gas sector .
• Proficiency in production optimization techniques and artificial lift systems (e.g., ESPs, gas lift).
• Strong understanding of process safety management (PSM) and environmental regulations.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work with diverse teams.
