About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and meticulous Aircraft Avionics Technician to join their maintenance team in Stellenbosch . This critical role involves the installation, inspection, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of complex aircraft electronic systems and components. You will work with state-of-the-art avionics equipment, ensuring the safety, reliability, and performance of the aircraft's communication, navigation, and flight control systems. Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair aircraft avionics systems, including communication, navigation, autopilot, and flight data recorders.
- Perform detailed inspections and functional tests on avionics equipment according to technical manuals and regulatory requirements.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions in complex electronic systems using specialized test equipment.
- Calibrate and adjust avionics systems to ensure optimal performance and accuracy.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance, repair, and testing activities performed.
- Liaise with engineering and flight crew to address avionics-related issues and ensure flight readiness.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Aircraft Avionics Technician or similar role.
- Strong understanding of aircraft electronic systems, schematics, and diagnostic procedures.
- Proficiency with avionics test equipment and diagnostic software.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., EASA Part 66, FAA Airframe & Powerplant with Avionics rating) are highly desirable.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a demanding aviation environment.
