Industrial Logistics Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a detail-oriented Industrial Logistics Engineer to optimize their warehousing and distribution operations. You will analyze existing logistics processes, design more efficient warehouse layouts, and implement systems to improve inventory management, material flow, and overall supply chain performance. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze current warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping processes.
• Design and implement optimized warehouse layouts and material handling systems.
• Develop and improve inventory management strategies to minimize carrying costs and stockouts.
• Utilize process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma) to enhance efficiency and reduce waste in logistics operations.
• Collaborate with operations teams to troubleshoot logistical challenges and implement solutions.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies and equipment to improve warehouse productivity and accuracy.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in logistics, warehousing, or supply chain engineering.
• Strong understanding of inventory management principles and warehouse operations.
• Proficiency in process mapping, data analysis, and optimization techniques.
• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
