About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly creative and imaginative Remote Architectural Designer to focus on conceptualization and early-stage design for projects originating from Paarl and beyond. This is a unique opportunity to work exclusively in a remote capacity, contributing innovative ideas and design directions without the constraints of a physical office location. You will be instrumental in shaping the initial vision of projects, developing compelling design narratives, and exploring novel approaches to architectural challenges. The ideal candidate is a visionary thinker with exceptional graphic and presentation skills, adept at collaborating digitally with a distributed team.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop groundbreaking architectural concepts and design proposals for a diverse range of projects.
• Create compelling visualizations, sketches, and digital models to articulate design ideas effectively.
• Collaborate closely with remote architects, clients, and project managers through virtual platforms.
• Conduct research into emerging design trends, innovative materials, and sustainable practices.
• Prepare design presentations and concept narratives for internal reviews and client meetings.
• Explore and test innovative design solutions, pushing creative boundaries.

Requirements

• A degree in Architecture, Design, or a related field with a strong emphasis on conceptual design.
• Proven experience in architectural conceptualization and early-stage design development.
• Advanced proficiency in design and visualization software such as Rhino, Grasshopper, SketchUp, 3ds Max, V-Ray, or Lumion.
• Exceptional artistic talent, creativity, and a strong portfolio demonstrating innovative design thinking.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly in a virtual setting.
• Self-motivated and disciplined to excel in a fully remote work environment.
