Key Responsibilities
- Design, analyze, and test aircraft components and systems, such as airframes, propulsion systems, and avionics.
- Develop technical specifications and performance requirements for new aircraft designs and modifications.
- Conduct structural analysis, aerodynamic simulations, and performance evaluations using specialized software.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are feasible for production and assembly.
- Troubleshoot and resolve engineering issues encountered during development and testing phases.
- Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations for project stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aeronautical or Aerospace Engineering.
- Proven experience in aircraft design, analysis, or testing.
- Proficiency with CAD/CAE software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks, ANSYS, NASTRAN).
- Strong understanding of aerodynamics, thermodynamics, structures, and flight dynamics.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary engineering team in Richards Bay.
